Speech and Language TherapySpeech/Language Pathology Services for Infants/Toddlers and ChildrenEarly development of speech and language skills will stay with a child throughout their life and facilitate success. At Cheshire Center, our speech and language pathologists are trained to enhance communication skills and address a full range of speech, language and voice disorders. State-licensed and nationally certified therapists evaluate a child's developmental level, work with family members to find effective therapies, and implement successful programs for treatment. Therapists also work closely with child service coordinators to ensure continuity of services and consistent treatment plans. We believe that early intervention is the best intervention. Therefore, we work closely with local agencies and families to identify infants/toddlers and children who are at risk for language or developmental delays. Our therapists facilitate language and speech development in the “natural setting” by working with children in their homes, daycares, schools, or Head Start programs. We build partnerships that respect individual family needs, beliefs, cultures and values. Language Literacy and Auditory Processing (A.P.D.)
