Adult Voice and Accent Reduction

The Cheshire Center Voice Clinic seeks to provide preventive and clinical care for the disordered speaking voice.

We offer comprehensive clinical evaluations as well as voice therapy that is provided and monitored by a voice team.   Cheshire Center is also proud to host the Voice Disorder Support Group of the Piedmont, a group originating with us in 1984.

Adult Rehabilitaion, Voice Therapy and Accent Reduction

When working with adults, Cheshire Center aids the improvement of communication skills through the analysis of voice, language, and speech patterns. Often referred by physicians, adults are treated for stroke rehabilitation, fluency training (stuttering), and speech disorders.

In addition several Cheshire Center speech therapists have specialized training in accent reduction using programs such as the COMPTON-PESL.
