Our goal is to help facilitate growth in your career while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The clinic supervisors and county mentors are trained in supervision and available to help guide you. Our office support staff keep much of the administrative or clerical aspects of private practice out of the clinician’s hands so they have more time to focus on providing quality therapy!

“I love the support and flexibility that comes with working for Cheshire. This is a family-friendly workplace that has stuck with me as I’ve come and gone and come and gone again! I started with Cheshire in 2005, moved twice, and added four children along the way. Cheshire has always allowed me to work as much or as little as I needed/wanted to each year in order to care for my family first. If I have questions or need support, there is always someone ready and willing to answer or lend a hand. It’s a great place to work full time, part time, and everything in between!”

Stuttering Support
At Cheshire Center, clinical support is offered to our clinicians to support evaluation and treatment of stuttering. Mentoring is available to therapists to provide tools they can use to gain information from stakeholders about how stuttering is impacting the child and how to use this information to create functional goals that treat all facets of stuttering.
Bilingual Support
Support is provided for clinicians with clients who come from bilingual homes. Cheshire Center has several Spanish bilingual therapists on staff to support clinicians who encounter Spanish speaking clients and families. Our bilingual mentor can also provide support to clinicians who have clients speaking any language other than English to guide with evaluation and treatment.
“I am a part-time employee at Cheshire Center. Every SLP, audiologist, office staffer that I’ve ever approached with questions has been very helpful! The support provided from everyone has been invaluable. The training opportunities have been awesome and I feel fortunate to be a part of the Cheshire “family”. I look forward to many more experiences!”

“When I finished graduate school, my number one concern was finding a clinical fellowship position that offered experienced mentorship. I wanted a job that allowed me to grow as a clinician, with a company who was experienced in licensure requirements. Since the first day at Cheshire Center, I have felt welcomed and respected as part of the Cheshire team. Cheshire Center continues to offer the support necessary to transition from a graduate school student to a full time SLP. ”
